Glass Bead Making

Tuition: $165, plus tool kit for beginners
Open to all skill levels, ages 18 & up
Please note: This class involves the use of a torch with open flame and gases. There is a certain level of risk involved in using any open flame. You will be required to sign a liability waiver to attend the class.
Kit purchase required for beginning students.
Includes: Hot Head torch, didymium glasses, Moretti glass rods (10), graphite marver, bead rake, bead release, mandrels (10), fiber blankets, pliers, Vice Grip pliers, rod rest, bead reamer, heat mat, book “You Can Make Glass Beads” by Cindy Jenkins. This kit can be used for future classes. Additional glass rods will be available for purchase at the gallery.
Kit Cost: $150
Other supplies to bring to first class: Notebook, pencil, cylinder of MAPP gas (available at Home Depot, Ace, etc.), box or tote bag and small plastic bags to carry supplies back and forth to class. Please wear cotton clothing with a long sleeve shirt and closed-toe shoes. Tie long hair back.
