Adult Pottery Parties
Spend the evening working with clay, learning to use a potters wheel!
By the end of the evening you will have several finished projects that will be glazed and fired for you in the following weeks. Everything you make will be dishwasher and microwave safe, so you can actually use the pieces you create!
Cost per person: $50.00
Age 18 and up
5 people min / 10 max if you want everyone working on the wheels together
5 min/ 20 max if you don't mind taking turns on the wheels
Includes:
All supplies (clay, tools, aprons, towels, etc.)
Instruction
Up to 3 hours of studio time
Glazing and firing of work
Food and beverages may be brought into the studio. A small refrigerator is available if needed. Alcoholic beverages may be brought in by those of legal age. Be prepared to get dirty! There’s a good chance you will get clay on your clothes, and the clay may stain very light colored clothes. A restroom is available if you need to change.

Earn your Ceramics/Pottery badge!
Scouts will learn how to work with clay, including skills and information required for earning a merit badge.
Open to Scouts of all ages
Minimum 6 students per workshop, 20 max.
Cost per student per day: $15.00
Workshops last 90 minutes, and include using the pottery wheels. Covering all techniques to earn a merit badge takes 2 workshops- one to create the clay pieces, and a second to decorate and glaze them. At least one week is need between workshops to dry and fire the pots to prepare them for glazing. If you only want to do one workshop, the pieces can be fired with a glaze, or left unglazed so they can be painted at home. Siblings and parents are welcome to join in, at the same cost.

You may bring in food, cake, beverages, etc. Store-bought food only, please. Home-made food may not be brought in. You are also welcome to order in pizza or other food. You must provide all plates, cups, etc. A small refrigerator and microwave are available.
Projects will be created with a certified non-toxic white clay, and glazed with a food safe, lead free glaze.
At least one parent must be present during the party.
You may decorate the studio 20 minutes before the party.
